The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has a professional secretariate which manages the day to day running of the Commission. The Commission has nine Directorates and 17 departments. Each Directorate is headed by a Director, while each department has a manager.
The secretariate is composed of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Deputy Chief Electoral Officer (DCEO), 9 Directors , 17 Managers, 17 Regional Election Coordinators and 210 Constituency Election Coordinators.
The Directorate of Voter Registration and Electoral Operations is responsible for the management of electoral processes at the Commission. These includes among others voter registration processes (voter registration strategies and inspection of voters register), electoral operations, electoral dispute resolution, logistics and electoral training.
